Lanis is the mage who planned her walk-about years before leaving the Mage University, unlike most apprentices. Now she is being challenged by a long term apprentice who failed to plan for his walk-about.

For now, she has found a home as an assistant to Master Lenden, a master mage and multi-estate holder.

Following the Battle of PARS II, the citizens of Earth now knew for sure that they were not all alone in the galaxy.
