Y/N and Hanta Sero had known each other for as long as either of them could remember.
Their mothers used to joke that they had been inseparable since they were in nappies, and honestly, they weren't wrong. They had grown up side by side, sharing toys, birthdays, school trips, secrets, and more childhood memories than either of them could count. If Hanta was there, Y/N wasn't far behind, and if Y/N was somewhere, Hanta was usually right beside her.
They had been best friends for years.
Not the kind of best friends who simply hung out at school, but the kind who knew each other's favourite foods, embarrassing stories, weird habits and exactly what the other was thinking just by looking at them.
Everyone knew them as a pair.
Where one went, the other followed.
And when they both dreamed of becoming heroes, they made the same promise.
They would get into U.A. together.
They would become heroes together.
They would always have each other's backs.
At least, that was the plan.
Until U.A. separated them.
Y/N was placed into Class 1-B.
Hanta was placed into Class 1-A.
Neither of them thought it would matter.
After all, they had been best friends their entire lives.
How could one classroom possibly change that?
They were about to find out.
