When you wake up in a strange forest, remembering nothing, not even your own name, you realize in panic that you are all alone. That is, until you meet a certain fox who claims to know you, and looks greatly hurt when you don't know him. This is a fem reader story This story first originally starts before my other series "Again, Scaramouche" But it continues through that series as well. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it does have some connection to the other books.

Buer, Archon of Dendro and God of Wisdom, has a problem. Rumors have been spreading that the Republic of the Sages have made a dangerous deal with the mysterious organization known as the Fatui, putting the entirety of Sumeru at risk. With no one to turn to for help, Buer decides to take matters into her own hands for the first time in centuries. Meanwhile, in the Silent Desert, the young host of Hermanubis, Sethos, is assigned a secret mission by Hermanubis himself: find the missing god. Frustrated by the lack of information given to him, Sethos decides to wander the desert in search of clues. When he crosses paths with a mysterious mercenary investigating the Fatui, he's certain he has found what he's looking for. Unknown to either of them, their missions are not as simple as initially believed. With every decision made, the future of Sumeru and Teyvat changes, and the truth is slowly uncovered.
