* Alternative Universe Fanfiction (slightly follows the canon with slight changes on the story) ---------- At the turn of Arima Kousei's eleventh birthday, Arima Saki's health deteriorates so badly. It was at that time that she finally decided to give her son to his father who could raise him better than her. As his parents, they knew that their son would understand her decision in the near future. Years later, Kousei finds out that his father had been dating a new woman that angered and hurt him terribly and had put his relationship with his father to the test. How he acted around her surprises his father, friends, supporters and relatives. Most especially, the wide circle of entertainment that had gripped him in a very young age. Will Kousei be able to accept her mother's reasons why she gave him to his father? Will he be able to accept his father's girlfriend?

All of his life, Kousei Arima was a boy that was just about automatic as you could get when playing the piano. Then, one day, a free-spirited violinist comes into her life...... ....but then, Kousei finds out his fate may be in jeopardy. What will become of Kaori? Tsubaki? Watari? And most importantly, Kousei's rivals? Will Kousei be able to express his feelings towards Kaori, and can she save Kousei from his hell before it is too late? ----- As you can tell, this is an alternate retelling of Your Lie in April. But the fates have been reversed (and before you ask, Kousei is the ill one, not Kaori, who is far from that in this story), which will make for quite a gripping, if not heart-wrenching story, maybe more so than the original. ----- Please note, I do not write fanfics often, but I feel this is a story the needs to be told. I do hope you enjoy this story, however. Five years had already passed since Kaori died. Arima Kousei is now a successful pianist who studies music and plays piano in the United States along with his piano mentor, Seto Hiroko and father, Arima Takahiko. He also plays his piano in so many music recitals and concerts until he became a huge Japanese Star in the US but in the midst of his success in Entertainment Industry, he suddenly gets a deadly disease.
