Snape doesn't quite know how to be a father, but when Lilian turns 4 and Narcissa can no more take care of her, Snape has no choice but to take Lilian to Hogwarts with him to teach. Hazel is willing to set aside old grudges and combine forces with him, but Severus can't seem to see past the ghost of James in not just Harry, but in Hazel too.
