Sexual-harassment Stories

This is a dramatic love story filled to the brim with feels and sadness, the ending may or may not be happy, but if this gets enough views/reads(whatever it's called) I'll make a sequel. Also all art work is done by me so, sorry if it sucks ass!

This is a poem based on my own happenings. It's about a boy who would sexually harass me (though I sometimes dislike using the term, no matter if it is correctly used) by touching me inappropriately in middle school. He asked me out many times during that year, the year after that, and once when freshman year of high school started. I've gotten over it, trust me, but sometimes the boy still annoys me. I consider him a friend to this day, however, he's gotten considerably worse, though not always to me. I sympathize for him and the struggles he goes through, and I try to be there for him if he needs me. But if I post something to social media about my troubles, he sometimes turns the entire situation towards him so that he's the victim again. Never more than a few times has he even spoken the word "sorry" to me for how he treated me, but I feel that I've apologized to him so much for teasing him about 7th grade.

Having been a developer, manager, and director in the software world for 4 decades, I've seen an anemic level of women developers. This not only hasn't changed, the numbers have gone down. I explore it from various vantage points: physiological, psychological, gender assumptions, demographics, harassment to determine why this may happen and offer some solutions. And in doing so, hopefully cut through stubborn stereotypes. Here's to Kelly, Fiammetta, Weezy, Grace, Tonya, Rashmi, Go-In, Crystal, Nancy, Marta, Anise, Robin, Lisa, Barbara for excelling among all da boys!

After one year of being in the US, Maya, a transfer wife from Japan decides to take free ESL - English as Second Language -classes at a library in order to improve her speaking English skills. Maya's friend Kanoko also comes from Japan, and they support each other to survive in this physically and mentally different country. Maya's husband hears a bird's mysterious "opportunity" tweet. Is this a bird of fortune? A new one-on-one instructor for Maya is very passionate to teach English to Maya. Is she lucky to have him practice speaking English with her? Maya starts to face to unimaginable events, which she wonders if they are culturally natural or just perversive. What is the true meaning of the "opportunity" bird?
