James Hook was born into a name the world can't seem to agree on.
To some, the Hook name is one of fear. A family of ruthless pirates who sailed dangerous seas and took whatever they wanted. To others, they were legendary. They sailed uncharted waters, brought riches and fame, discovered Neverland, and fought to protect it; amazing leaders to their crews and protectors of their people.
To James, there was never any doubt. His family was Good. And among the greatest stood his father, Captain Thaddeus Hook, who died when James was young.
Yet history remembers it differently. The Pans, the ones who unjustly took Neverland, are hailed as heroes, while the Hooks are painted as villains.
Since the Pans now rule Neverland, James grew up far from the island his ancestors once called home. Determined to restore their legacy, he dreams of becoming a captain worthy of his bloodline, strong, respected, and brave enough to take back what was stolen and clear the Hook name for good.
Years passed, but James never let go of that goal. Everything changed the day Hort handed him an application form for the School for Good. A pirate...chosen for Good?
Stepping into a world of magic and challenges, James must outsmart rivals, prove his worth, and fight for the legacy he was born to protect.
Sometimes, the sharpest weapon isn't a sword... It's a hook.
This fanfiction of The School for Good and Evil takes place years after book 6: One True King, with some characters and elements from the prequels.
