This backstory will be following Sarah, Jason, and King as teenagers up to when the war broke out. So there will Bill, Kill, Will, Tad, and Mason (Dipper), as kids. Along With Bitch (King's Late Wife) and Mary Grim (Sarah's mom). Water was dumped on Jason's head, shocking him awake. Jason gasps and shook his head, shaking off some of the water, before looking around. "Why is a Shadow being inside my castle? Your people weren't too kind towards my knights." King Alexander said, sitting on front of Jason. Jason looks down at himself, seeing that he was bound to the chair. Jason jumps, as a knight kicked his leg. "Speak, boy!" The knight said. Jason shook his head, tilts his head back. "is there something wrong with your voice?" King Alexander asked, and Jason nods. King Alexander reached out slowly, as Jason moves back, as his eyes widen in fear. "Ah!" Jason cried out, and winced, before coughing. King Alexander's eyes widen, as he tilts Jason's head back and pulled down the collar of his shirt. "Get some water and bandages! Now!" King Alexander ordered. a knight bowwed and took off running. King Alexander and another knight untied Jason, and helped him lean over a bucket. Jason vomited blood into the bucket. "Go get the palace mage. I need to know how much damage was done to his voice." King Alexander said, as the knight behind him nodded. "Yes, Your Majesty." The knight said, as she bowed, and left the room. King Alexander looked at the knight beside him. "Go get my daughter. She's with Mary." Kimg Alexander said. The knight nodded. "I shall fetch the Queen and Young Princess." The knight said, as he stood up and left the room.

My unfortunately tormenting experience with the Paranormal

This is the prologue followed by the first chapter (puzzle piece) of The Curse of Time - Book 1 - Bloodstone which I hope to publish soon. The Curse Of Time is a YA/middle grade fantasy set in Cambridge UK. Sixteen year old Amelina Scott's life is blighted by a curse. She receives an invitation to visit the magical Krystallos cottage, but the cottage is illusive. Against her mother's warnings she searches for the cottage close to her home. To begin with the search is in vain. It is on this forbidden river walkway that Amelina first encounters Ryder. He appears just at the right moment, rescuing her from a perilous encounter. Amelina can't believe her luck. He's constantly on her mind. She has never met anyone like him before. His mesmerising eyes draw her to him. But appearances can be deceptive. Is he what he seems? Is he to be trusted? Will the Krystallos cottage reveal itself, and help her cure the curse, or will its secrets be entombed forever?

I wrote this short story originally on my blog, as a Halloween piece of short story writing. It is a continuation of an idea that I intend to develop for a second novel, with the main protagonist being a male shadow being... called Ryder. If you are reading The Curse of Time, you will have already met Ryder.... There are several short stories that I have written on my blog exploring different ideas and themes for a second book.
