He is ready to bring back his daughter after she is reborn from the past where she died with her mother. Shadow finds you interesting and now you re-learn stuff again but as an android. Two years after Shadow tried to destroy the universe and Shadow doesn't have any regrets, but when he runs out of food in his cave and goes to hedgehog village, he sees it empty. He looks around and finds the most horrifying things he ever seen in his life, a pile of dead bodies on fire. He looks around the village and sees a lot of dead people in every house including children. He then looks for team sonic but finds them gone and when he shows up to Sonic's shack, he finds his bandana with a little bit of blood and black dust on it. He also finds a tranquilizer with the label G.U.N on it which brings Shadow bad memories when he was on the space colony and sees a vision of Maria his forgotten friend getting shot. He then goes into rage. Shadow is going to find team sonic, figure out what happened and fight an army of soldiers, robots, jets, drone tanks, and assassins. Can Shadow save the universe after he tried to destroy it or is he going to stay evil for the rest of his life.

A group of sonic characters come together again showing off their new skills and abilities with even a new ally who comes to join in on the team. This perspective finally comes from Shadow the hedgehogs point of view or at least most of it. Amy Rose learns of the love she never knew she could have. Shadow understands the world around him more than ever. Sonic continues to be himself. Tails is still tails but with his girlfriend! Knuckles continues punching everything around him. And stick is there for Amy when she needs someone to talk to which means she is a big part of the story.

Sonic spotted Shadow outside of the village one day. Curious, he decided to follow him to see what is up with the dark hedgehog. After finding out the reason why Shadow likes being alone in that one particular cave, he decided to stick around and company him. It makes Sonic realize that Shadow isn't really that evil and it also makes him grow closer to the dark hedgehog. SFW book.
