A tear in magic drops Gandalf into the Ministry of Magic-straight into Tom Riddle's path as he tries to weaponize the Ministry's secrets and prophecies. When the seam widens, Albus Dumbledore is ripped into Middle-earth, where he ends up riding Shadowfax and calling the Huorns toward Helm's Deep. Two worlds strain at the edges, and two old wizards must stitch reality shut before ambition turns the seam into a doorway for darkness. Her father wouldn't. He wanted her to go there and "socialize" which was code for "you need to find someone to marry because your life's really sad". It was some party for his law firm he started with one of his friends too, not even like a rager which would've been mildly fun. Aiden's father was a crappy one at best. So when Aiden's dad made him the photographer at some stupid new year's party that he was throwing for his law firm, of course he protested. But he couldn't look at his mom so happy about it and still tell her that he didn't wanna do it. So he was still the photographer.
