I wandered into a tiny coffee shop hoping for answers, but all I found were strangers staring at me like I was a problem they weren't prepared to deal with. The more I tried to piece myself together, the more I wondered if I belonged in an asylum instead-especially when the dark, faceless figures following me refused to disappear. It's hard enough not knowing who or where I am. It's worse realizing everyone I meet is hiding something. And the one person who unsettles me most? A curly-haired boy named Sawyer, who acts like he's keeping the biggest secret of all.

He died because they got hit by a drunk driver and Augie wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Rose has a twin sister named Briana or "Bree". Rose and Bree used to be super close but when Augie died in 2009 on their birthday they became distant. Rose talks to Augie and imagines him a lot, the pain and guilt follow her around like a shadow.

The advertisement catched your attention, naturally. It's hard to miss, hard to ignore. And that's exactly what they wanted. Within the blink of an eye, your car is flipped. Your head hits the center console and suddenly you're unable to function or see or anything. And then you wake up, chained to the wall of a boxcar on a moving train.
