She woke up in Azriel's torture chamber with no memory of who she is or how she ended up there. He tells her she's there because she deserves to be there. Who do we become when we lose ourselves? (Throne of glass mentions and tie-ins)

Azriel notices there's something wrong with Elain. She's trying to hide something from him, and has been pulling away from the Inner Circle for months. Before he can find out what, however, his shadows are cursed, rendering his magic useless. At a loss, Azriel enlists Gwyn to help research and hopefully lift the curse, before Elain can do something she regrets. This will be a medium-burn gwynriel and a slightly dark!Elain story. The preface takes place in ACOSF (specifically the Az bonus chapter) while the rest of the story is post-ACOSF. Rated M for future lemons.
