Loneliness clung to her-until a sudden teleport dropped her into Station Square. Buildings, cars, humans-it all felt unreal after decades of darkness. Hidden in an alley, she was discovered by a boy named Chris, who recognized her as one of the strange Mobians appearing in his world-just like Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and the others. Chris brought her to his mansion, guiding her into his grandfather's lab, eager to introduce her to everyone. There, in this new world, a new story begins-one where Sonic the Hedgehog slowly, unexpectedly, starts to fall for the mysterious girl who survived the impossible: Amaya.

After another attempted failure in creating a cure for his sickly granddaughter, Maria, Professor Gerald Robotnik was getting desperate. His star pupil, Doctor Maci Garcia, offered a solution, creating the Ultimate Cure, Project: EMBER. Under the guidance of her professor, Doctor Maci was successful in creating Project: EMBER. Not ready to be introduced to the others, Ember was kept away in a different place in the Ark. When her test results came up with a high success rate for a cure, she was soon introduced to Maria, Abe, and Shadow. And thus a somewhat beautiful friendship blossomed. But it didn't last for long.
