Chris brought her to his mansion, guiding her into his grandfather's lab, eager to introduce her to everyone. Basically Metal Sonic from his own universe is a hero but one day, when him and restoration HQ were taking a break, Eggman with showed up and tried to shoot sonic in the back. But Metal Sonic moved him out of the way and got shot. But what Eggman did not know was the fact that the weapon made a portal and sucked Metal Sonic into another dimension. Sending him to a universe, and trying to find a way back home.

After another attempted failure in creating a cure for his sickly granddaughter, Maria, Professor Gerald Robotnik was getting desperate. His star pupil, Doctor Maci Garcia, offered a solution, creating the Ultimate Cure, Project: EMBER. Under the guidance of her professor, Doctor Maci was successful in creating Project: EMBER. Not ready to be introduced to the others, Ember was kept away in a different place in the Ark.
