(Not related to mass effect relays, this is not a prequel) After destroying the reapers, Shepard wakes up in a hospital room, where she recovered from her injuries, only to discover: 1.she's suffering from partial amnesia and 2. the world she saved is still as broken as she is: stranded aliens, the council based on earth and one of her friends possibly plotting to betray her. Marlow Shepard was dead to Garrus and the remaining crew of the SR-1 for two whole years. They didn't know that in those two years, Cerberus had slapped her on some cement and begun the Lazarus Project. During that time, Garrus realizes just how much the commander had meant to him, and seeing her alive and kicking evokes some very strange emotion that he'd never truly experienced before. (End game pairing is Shakarian, mentions of Shelenko and Shrios) Marlow Shepard is an infiltrator and spacer child (grew up on ships). Is a paragade (paragon/renegade).

Not only was Garrus concerned about the mission but also his thoughts were with Jane. What exactly did she find in the central chamber of the Collector Base? What if she was on a razor's edge? His greatest fear was that she didn't get it through. Shepard seemed to be invincible but once she was defeated by The Collectors and what if it would happen again?
