A story about a muslim girl called Yasmin who wants to get circumcised. She wants to feel connected to her ancestors,according to her,much to the chagrin of her well educated parents Abdullahi and Amina. Amina was circumcised herself because unlike her,her grandparents were still set in the traditional ways she grew up in. Amina doesn't want her three daughters to go through the traumatic experience and does everything possible to achieve it. She and her husband succeed in doing so with the first two daughters,Zainab and Milgo,but fail to do so with her last daughter. Yasmin,ever stubborn and curious, sets off a chain of events that lead to a one revelation.
