They got home and Shane continued to pull Ilya along, showing him his room and his toys. Eventually the two boys were playing in the living room and Yuna went to start dinner. She had the pasta cooking and the sauce bubbling on the stove when she went to check on them. "You can talk in front of mom," Shane's voice came around the corner and Yuna stopped to listen. "Father says here people don't like how we talk." Ilya's voice was not what Yuna had expected. He clearly had an accent. She suspected English was not the language spoken at home for him, but he didn't stutter or in any way sound unsure when he spoke. He was a good speaker, just with an accent. She hated that he didn't like his voice. "I like how you talk," Shane replied easily. There was a gentle noise of toys being played with. Yuna suspected it was cars from Shane's big tub of toy cars. Yuna snuck back into the kitchen. The two friends were so adorable Yuna could barely stand it. She wanted to burst into giggles in her kitchen, but she managed to contain herself enough to finish making dinner without alarming the children.

For the first time in nineteen years, a sudden, blinding flash of color flooded Ilya's world. It was as if a dormant switch inside him had been violently flipped on. His Alpha instincts, usually as dormant and indifferent as the rest of him, surged forward with a fierce, possessive roar that made his blood run hot. The dull gray reality he had inhabited his entire life vanished, replaced by a single, absolute, unyielding mandate: That Omega is mine. Ilya didn't know his name. He didn't know his story, or his background. But as his blue eyes locked onto the stunning stranger, watching the way his warm brown eyes crinkled with a soft, gentle laugh, Ilya knew with absolute certainty that he would stop at nothing until that Omega belonged to him.

[CLIP START] [CAMERA: High definition kitchen island shot, abruptly cut from Episode 5. Ilya roars in Russian, drops the blender, and stumbles backward into a mountain of paper towels.) ILYA: (Clutching his eyes, groaning dramatically) "AH, SUKA! I AM BLINDED! SHANE, SAVE ME!" SHANE: (Dropping his knife, lunging across the counter with a wet towel) "I TOLD YOU! HOLD STILL, YOU ABSOLUTE IDIOT, STOP RUBBING THEM!" (Shane yanks Ilya down by his collar to wipe his face. Ilya instantly wraps both arms around Shane's waist, burying his nose into Shane's neck like a wounded Victorian soldier while Harris's shaky camera lens gets smeared with giardiniera oil.)
