(Game Changer Fanfiction - Post The Long Game) When Ilya spots an eleven-year-old girl skating alone late at night on the Rideau Canal, he doesn't expect it to unravel something inside him. Maddie loves hockey. Her mother Laura is exhausted, fighting battles no one sees. What begins as a simple invitation to a Centaures practice slowly becomes something much bigger - forcing Shane and Ilya to confront their own pasts, their future, and the question they've only ever asked in theory: Could they really be parents? Because sometimes the ice isn't just where you play. Sometimes, it's the only place that feels safe.

What really happened when Shane was discharged from the hospital and forced to stay at his parents' house? And why is Hayden so determined to see him settle down? Or why does Hayden think Shane's best shot at a relationship is... Lily from Boston? --- "Hey!" Shane reached out. "Hayden, what are you doing?" "What you should be doing, buddy: getting engaged!" he declared solemnly. He'd already started a call to the contact saved as "Lily" and placed the phone on the table, speakerphone on. The first ring echoed in Shane's ears like a sound that was too loud, too grating. Or maybe it was his heart in his throat that made everything so noisy. He tried to grab the phone, but Hayden pulled it away, snickering. "Come on, Shane. I can feel it! Lily's the right one! And you'll never have the guts to make a move. I'm helping you." --- A missing moment from episode five. Set right after the hospital scene and just before the now-infamous: "I'm coming to the cottage."

Shane joins Yuna outside the house, while Ilya is left alone with David. What could they have said to each other? --- lya looks out the window. "Thank you for inviting me to your place" and this second time he thanks him, the meaning is completely different: it feels like he's saying thank you for giving me this miracle. Shane understands; he adds nothing more than a "thank you for coming" which instead seems to mean simply thank you for trusting me. --- A missing moment from episode 6 in which Ilya and David end up preparing lunch together: yes, those very delicious spaghetti that Ilya stuffed himself with!
