Failing her daring heist later, she found herself tied up as an unexpected "guest" aboard the Red-Haired Pirates' ship, much to her own annoyance. But she was stubborn, quick-witted, and far from a normal hostage, constantly testing the limits and goading Shanks with her defiance. He, in turn, found her antics more entertaining than infuriating, curious to see how far she'd push before realizing she wasn't much of a threat. So, in true pirate fashion, he gave her a strange sort of freedom, letting her roam the ship, knowing full well the real fun was watching her struggle against the cage of her own choices.
