The Twelve Talisman - Twelve young people from different parts of the world were forced into cooperation at the Shaolin Academy after they learned that they are the chosen ones. At first, they had a hard time dealing with each other but soon they become friends. All seems to be normal until when an ancient demon sorceress Hel was released, our heroes are prompted to collect the 12 talisman before Hel and her minions, the Heylins. Join the adventure of the Shaolins as they get involved between the ancient struggle of the Shaolins and the Heylins and how they handle their task with their own ways. By the way I consider this as a fanfiction because this is inspired by Xiaolin Showdown and Jackie Chan Adventures (hence the title) and some other inspirations. But I tend to keep the characters or some of the elements original (only some elements are copied). Just enjoy reading and comment for suggestions. This is still ongoing. Thanks

A snippet slice of life in a street coffee stall. She only wanted caffeine. What she got was a market-stall barista who wasn't handsome-handsome, yet somehow managed to rearrange her heartbeat, her dignity, and occasionally her lunch order. She keeps telling herself it's nothing... right up until "nothing" turns into warmth she'd forgotten she deserved. A story about a woman who wasn't looking, a man who wasn't trying, and the chaotic tenderness that grows when two people accidentally find home in each other's orbit.

And then, all of a sudden, I could see a dim light beneath my eyelids. I didn't pay much attention to it, until I heard something that sounded like an explosion somewhere in the far distance. She pulled away quickly. "What was that, Muhammad?" She had a look of panic in her eyes, which only worsened when we heard screams in the distance, followed by sirens. "What's going on...?" I said, more so to myself. She got off of me and I jumped to my feet. "C'mon" Husniah took my hand and we began to walk toward the noises. That decision was one that would change the both of our lives forever. For the better, but before that, for the worse... ***************************** Disclaimer: This book isn't going to sugar coat anything, whether it be how our ummah, our muslim community, behaves in modern times (as you will see right in chapter one), nor how other people are, or the truths about anything-- whether it be societal/government truths, or Islamic truths that muslims seem to be forgetting and/or are refusing to take heed to in this day in time.
