In 1860, tension separates the towns people and the beasts on the mountain. Though most have given up on or forgotten the fight, an old man named Roland continues on. With great risk, his path of vengeance can only last so long. This short story is based on the world and timeline of a larger project I'm working on.

A man was crouched down, his back facing you, but a dim light let you catch a glimpse of the blood soaking his back and shoulders. He turned around and you recognized him right away. His eyes. His hair. His freckles. Felix was standing right in front of you.

Our protagonist is a 16 year old orphan with two main goals in mind, free the trapped people within the facility, and solve all of the secrets it holds. This story contains mystery, major gore themes, sad moments, and found family. Will everyone make it to embrace freedoms loving arms? Or will there have to be some sacrifices in the process?
