Butterflypaw and her two best friends, Rainpaw and Frostpaw, have witnessed death after death and leadership after leadership, when Butterflypaw becomes Butterflypelt, a respected warrior, she learns that Rainpaw, now Rainpool, has been meeting with a Dark Forest warrior that has manipulated him into becoming leader and reforming the once thriving ShardClan.
