In a post-apocalyptic world known as Luster, there's a way to cheat death: Find your Shadow. And Seth, with his Shard blade he calls Sapphire, intends to do just that, so that his reign of fighting and amusement never ends. However, even though he was aware his Shadow had to be another human being, he never expected it to be the mysterious gun toting Miles.

Shards of poems that were meant to be more, but my broken mind couldn't grasp their meanings.

Ethan Channing is your average fourteen-year-old boy. He fantasizes of becoming the next Usain Bolt, studies hard and maintains A's and B's in all of his classes. He has a mother, a father and a seven-year-old sister named Mitzi who he loves dearly. After all, Ethan Channing is your average fourteen-year-old boy. That is, he was until The Incident. When his mother is mysteriously killed by an anonymous assassin and all of his memories go missing, Ethan is framed and charged with first degree murder, sentencing him to twenty-five years in prison. It is up to Ethan to escape solitary confinement, journey into uncharted territories and recover the memories he had lost in order to find his mother's true assassin.

Shards of Life. Welcome. You have now stepped into a realm of emotions and feelings that rule situations and happenings. But, Soft! Be careful! There're shards scattered all over the place. They aren't as simple as one would perceive them to be. They are sharper than meets the eye, deeper than countenance would testify. Each of these broken pieces has a story to tell, a lesson to teach, a thought to convey and an emotion to rouse. After all, these I call: the Shards of Life. They are instances that could happen; thoughts that my mind has conceived. Ponder over it's depths! Muse about its insight! Let the hushed secrets claim your thoughts as I unlock the doors for you to enter this realm and relish the stories of these shards... This book of poetry is inspired by my experiences. The first half is kinda sad, but the second part gravitates more towards happiness. Each broken shard can only save us from ourselves if we stand united. As. One.

This is a story about the beings inflicted with Shards and the beings known as Fears. Creatures of the night stalk the city, but it's normal. The Sharders take them out. But now beings known from salvaged records from before The Incident suggest that these Fears will finish off the human race. Harsh doesn't like that, and as a Sharder, he will do his bit in this new war.

The tone of a singer's voice.... that's where this piece came from. The way his words slurred and his voice cracked, he sounded vulnerable. Introducing, a character that very much fits a description such as this.
