Shifters had lived amongst humans for eons, hiding what they really were to anyone and everyone. But one day they realized that they were sick of hiding. Shifters decided to announce that they existed, in the hopes that humans would take their existence well. They didn't, and battle was declared. Now, the planet is ravaged by war as the two races fight for different causes. Shifters- survival and freedom. Humans- to rid of the 'evil' from their world. But what happens when two ordinary people become unlikely friends? Everything changes.

Xanthie's life is all about gaming, but how much is too much? What will happen when she falls for her online companion? What if this gentleman ends up being some 40 year old in his mom's basement? Like games Xanthie's life is a win-lose situation but maybe this boy might just give her the extra lives she needs. Xanthie Benson Is A college freshman, she's struggling with a lot, her mother is in the hospital and her boyfriend is a bully nothing seems alright. Video games seem to be the perfect distraction, Xanthie's new online friend is charming, kind, and has a bit of video game rage. Maybe he can be she friend she's been looking for, but nothing is ever that easy.
