On a dark and stormy night, a magnificent ship sailed through the turbulent ocean waters, its wooden hull creaking and groaning with each crashing wave. The crew frantically worked to keep the vessel afloat as the storm raged on, lightning illuminating the sky with its blinding flashes. Amidst the chaos, a small wicker basket lay precariously on the deck, holding a precious cargo - a baby nestled snugly within its soft blankets. The infant gurgled and cooed, oblivious to the danger surrounding them. Suddenly, a massive wave crashed over the side of the ship, knocking the basket overboard and sending it tumbling into the churning sea. The crew cried out in alarm, but it was too late. The baby was lost to the depths below. As the storm continued to rage, a mysterious figure appeared on the deck of the ship. Cloaked in shadows, they reached out a hand and whispered a word of power. Instantly, the ocean calmed and the storm clouds dispersed, leaving behind a tranquil sea. To the astonishment of the crew, the baby's basket resurfaced, bobbing gently on the water. And to their horror , the infant within was gone. The mysterious figure smiled as they vanished into the night, leaving the crew in horror as the mysterious powers that had taken the baby to a watery grave. Though that wasn't all, the baby survived but she changed drastically. She was no longer human, but a spirit of the deep sea itself. Thalassa is less than thrilled to become the new center of attention when she learns that she's moving from the open seas of the ocean to the rainiest place in America. Forks Washington. But when she attracts the attention of the Cullen family and her secret is put at risk, Thalassa helps but wonder who are the Cullens? Why are they so interested in her? And what is the strange connection she has to Forks?
