In a world where the humans must live underground because the kaiju took revenge and took control over the Earth and there are only 12 shatterdomes undergound will they win the war?

Mara Ajax, a J-TECH officer specializing in Jaeger engineering and weaponry systems who worked on Jaeger's such as Striker Berserker, Hunter Vertigo, and Zeus Marauder, got transferred over to the Meridian Shatterdome in Australia to repair the Jaegers that come through there. Shortly before the Black begins, she goes outside of the shatterdome and drives across the city, seeing Striker Berserker, and Mara entered the Jaeger through the hatch. She finds an injured Hercules Hansen and his co-pilot, who is non-responsive. Mara stays by Herc's side, trying to help him when mysterious hooded ladies appear and take them away. ++Pacific Rim belongs to Guillermo Del Toro. Emery Grace wants nothing more than to become a Jaeger pilot. So much so, she enrols in the Jaeger Academy and moves to Alaska to train there. In Emery's eyes, it was the most awesome thing on the planet until she met him. Chuck Hansen. He's cocky, arrogant and the exact opposite of what a Ranger should be. Chuck befriends Emery without her consent, but as he listens to nobody, her protests fall on deaf ears. They become close friends and are told that they are Drift Compatible. And when a real-life Jaeger - Scarlet Hazard - is brought in for the Rangers-in-training to experience and possibly pilot, Emery and Chuck are first in line. But something goes wrong when they are in the Jaeger, Emery starts seizing and falls into a coma while Chuck remains unharmed. Five years later, Emery remains comatose. The doctors receive permission to cut off her life support, against Chuck's will, but a week before it is scheduled to happen, Emery mysteriously wakes up. But with Kaiju attacks increasing in frequency, a Kaiju support terrorist group rising in popularity and an old pilot back on the scene, will Emery be able to survive in a world so different from the one she once knew? The UN has just shut down the Pan Pacific Defence Corps' Jaeger program in favour of the Coastal Wall, but one Marshall has pleaded for one last chance, a year to do whatever he can with the program for the people of the Pacific coasts around the world before the last shatterdome is stricken permanently from the map.
