The story is told from the main character, Cassia's point of view. She and the rest of the teens chosen must learn how to survive on their own and find enough resources for the planet and the other planet's in the colony. Cassia's story highlights the struggles they encounter and the pressure they must face saving the rest of Earth's survivors.
