It's been 28 years since the defeat of Horde Prime. The planets that were destroyed by prime are still being rehabilitated by the rebellion's allies from space. Tech advancements have increased significantly thanks to Entrapta. Everyone's living happily, and the planet is peace. Well, except for the occasional village raid by a group of bandits every now and then, but She-ra and the other princesses and their non-magic rebellion allies are there to save the day! But when a new, yet familiar threat arises, it's up to the princesses and their kids to save the universe! Credits to @Bletisan on instagram for letting me use her Glimbow and Seamista ocs. Before you jump into this story, I should mention that this fic is gonna be a musical, so there's gonna be a lot of songs sprinkled throughout it. Most of them will be originals written by me. Catra is a spy, Adora is a really high ranking member of the rebellion. In this world there is no magic left. People are experimented on until they either gain miraculous abilities and traits or die. The lucky ones die, and the unlucky ones are out to work by the Horde Empire. Catra is tasked with infiltrating the rebellion along with Double Trouble. _____ It's a modern au I guess? I just had a thought and said, "Wow this would be fun" so here we are. Catra is still a magicat (magicat is what Catra is. It's the species she is classified as from the original show) and Adora can still sorta turn into she ra. It's more like she just becomes really strong and stuff. Anyways, yep.

An academy that is funded by the Grayskull battalion and the kingdom of Brightmoon, is a worldwide-famous school that is located at Brightmoon, Etheria that is known for it's brilliant students from all around Etheria, sublime atmosphere and because it's a magnificent school to attend to in general. Many hectares dedicated for education, freedom, where youth can be whoever they want and the happiness they could ever need and wish for. Horde Institute, one of the many institutes located all around Etheria, is also Grayskull Academy's sworn enemy, specifically the Brightmoon branch, is a popular school when it comes to martial arts, sports or combat in general; it is also the home of countless mighty youth of sports and alumni that is now notoriously famous in the sports world; it also doubles as a foster home and a school. However, it has a bad reputation because it is also home of thugs, dangerous bullies and abusive people in general. Adora, a popular clumsy but clever second-year high-school student was offered a scholarship at Grayskull Academy. However, it means leaving everything behind at the Horde Institute. What will she do? Decline the offer and stay until she graduates or accept it and let fate control what will happen in the future? Adora Grayskull got a full scholarship in highschool for her lacrosse playing. She started focusing more on Lacrosse and school to maintain her scholarship. All in the process forgetting about her best friend Catra. Forgetting their Friday sleepovers and video calls. But being a new popular kid had its requirements, so when she started going to parties and her new friends sleepovers. It left a whole new betrayal on Catra. Catra now all alone in the middle of Freshmen year with only unanswered messages, unreturned calls and staring at Adora surrounded by her new found friends across the halls she was lost. She started taking her Gymnastics more seriously. Doing more meets, winning competitions, but with no one to share them with. That is until Double Trouble comes to one of her meets to scout a replacement for someone on the Cheer squad. Catra swore she would never become a preppy cheerleader, but she was lonely. So she agreed. Fast Forward to Senior year. Catra and Adora don't even speak. But are brought back together by the yearbook committee. They seem to fall back into old habits, But when Adora discovers that Catra is taken, her life falls apart. "Wanna hang out tonight? like we used to?" Adora smiles at Catra. Catra chuckles and shakes her head while looking down at her sneakers before glancing back up at Adora. "Actually it's my anniversary with my girlfriend tonight. I will take a rain check though okay?" Adora could only find herself nodding as Catra turned to leave, Adora stared at the spot Catra stood, her heart seeming to shatter.

What if Catra had escaped with Shadow Weaver from the Horde back before the Crimson Waste? Catra finds Shadow Weaver trying to escape and joins her forcefully causing the spell to fail and bring the two in the middle of the Whispering Woods. As the two begin their journey to Bright Moon, their relationship will either become more abusive... Or caring. I know that it's been a while since season two but my head's been wrapped around this for a while now so I've decided to go through with it!
