Anybody with eyes could see that Suyodhana and Krithika Shah still loved each other, even five years after their divorce. Suyodhana took Aru Shah and left for New York after finding out that Kara Shah was not his biological daughter. Now back in Atlanta after fifteen-year-old Aru begged to visit Kara, the two have less than two weeks to reunite their parents and bring their family together again. However, things get complicated when Aiden Acharya-next-door neighbor, previously best friend (and crush) of Aru, and fellow child of divorce-learns of the matter.

But Aru has been close to death before - and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. A continuation of Tree of Wishes. Read at your own risk (spoiler warnings and mild cliffhangers). These were taken from my "A Series of Aru Shah Oneshots" because I felt they were better in a separate fic. The chapters have been revamped and many parts have been edited. Aru is also about to get married off to Rudy, the cousin of the prince, but does not want to. A letter arrives one day stating that each family must send one man off to join the army, but Indra is the only man in the house and is injured in his leg. Aru has taught herself how to fight(though she is not very good at it) so Aru takes his place and runs away to join the army with the help of four of her sisters. There she meets prince Aiden and a blossoming love grows. Old memories are revealed, sacrifices are made, and Aru must keep her identity secret and not let anyone, not even Aiden, know. Join Aru as she fights the Sleeper and his army, to stop him from overthrowing the king and overtaking all of ancient India! Plus Aru has a mini pet elephant named Airavata! He can make tiny clouds! The potatoes needs to save Mini, who has been kidnapped by a monster. The only way to find Mini is in the Land of Lost Hopes and Dreams. They have to overcome the challenges and hope to save Mini before it is too late. And along the way will Aru and Aiden finally answer the question, 'are we more than friends'? This is a side story set around the time between COG and NOI. But they will still have their weapons.

She can live her own life and be who she wants.
