A fir tree, once a gift to a boy from his father, becomes so much more in this original fable backstory of one of the least described props in the traditional Nativity scene. The inspiration for this short story hit me suddenly when I saw The Christmas Tree Contest here on Penana. I started writing, and it wasn't long before I realized this was going to be a lot longer than 700 words! Anyway, this story is my contribution to #LightTheWorld, a worldwide movement to make this Christmas season a little brighter by sharing Christ's love in small ways with those around you. I first thought everything will be the same as the game itself. However I soon find out that everything is actually different from what I thought will happen... *I don't own any Fire Emblem characters!
