For years and years Adora always wondered who she is and where she's from. She wasn't sure if her parents wanted her or not and if they knew who she was supposed to become She-Ra. Do they really want her or see her as a weapon?

omg a catradora fanfic in 2024?!?!?! right after I just bashed this ship too?!?! dang character development amiright 💀 disclaimer: this is a modern highschool au, so no magic (for the most part), all human characters, probs some mischaracterizations, etc. PLEASE DON'T SUE ME 😭 Anyways a brief synopsis: Catra was done thinking about Adora ever since she moved away. Anything she'd ever felt for her had been crushed beneath her hopes and dreams, beneath her belief in anything good. She resented her...at least, that's what she thought before Adora came back. Now she doesn't know what to feel. Adora never wanted to leave Catra behind, but that was in the past, and this was now. Surely things would go back to the way they were, she thought, that is until everything comes crumbling down. Adora wants to make things right, but is that enough to save their decaying friendship? Perhaps there's more to their relationship than what meets the eye?

After being trapped by an explosion during battle, Catra is faced with a choice. A choice that could make her future or break her heart. Or... Catra must decide if she's willing to let Adora go for the sake of her success. This fic takes place sometime between season 2 and before the portal scene in season 3. I wanted to play with Catra's state of mind before she truly realized she was in love with Adora.

Sorry, I didn't know what to call this. Adora goes to a school called Horde Preparatory School. She excels, and with her best friend Catra, she can do anything! The only bad spot in her life: Bright Moon High School. Those stupid kids always try and ruin her perfect life. So, when she and Catra go to teach them a lesson, she's surprised to find that the Bright Moon "students" aren't as bad as she's been told.

The pair learn things that shake their previous world view, and they struggle with the ethics of their mission. They both have secrets and they make friends with Bow and Glimmer, who have secrets of their own. Can they survive the school year?

What if Bow and Glimmer were too late in the Whispering Woods? What if they never met Adora and brought her back to Bright Moon? What if She-ra stayed at the Horde and fought against the princesses? What if Adora and Catra fought their way to the top together?
