A Sherlock one-shot.

"Here for the interview?" Komaeda needs a job. Desperately. After doing some research, he comes across some underground detective facility. That very place just so happens to be a company which works separately from the police. Komaeda sits across from the interviewer. The interviewer sets down a stack of papers. Things are getting down to business. I mean, sure, it's not exactly legal. But, Komaeda needs a job. Besides, it's not exactly ILLEGAL either. 《》《》《》 ~~~

In 1920's New York a seventeen year old boy named John is planning to leave home. He wants nothing more than to be free, but his own personal vices, his abusive and vindictive "mother", and his poverty keep him locked in place. Meanwhile Sherlock Holmes - a wealthy, twenty eight year old businessman - is living the high life; enjoying expensive luxuries, social status and sumptuous parties. From the outside it looks as though he's got it all, but in reality Sherlock has demons darker than the expensive suits he wears, and his life is much, much more empty than it appears. Then by a surprise twist of fate, the two cross paths and what John initially thought to be the very best thing to happen to him; could quite possibly be the worst.

Clara Oswald wakes up in a cheap, little hotel in London with a wiped memory. As she tries to start her life over she meets the consulting detective, her neighbor; Sherlock Holmes, and he immediately becomes intrigued by her; she is impossible. But he is yet to realize: Clara Oswald is only trouble.

AU where Sherlock, John, and Jim are all roommates. Of course, Sherlock and Jim are always fighting and John will often have to play peacekeeper. Sherlock and Jim have both fallen for John, they wage a war over him.

John hates the idea of soulmates. The scar covered, cursive writing of the word 'Willaim' haunts him with childhood trauma made worse by his experiences from the war. Sherlock has always denied his ability to love. The name on his wrist the only reminder that he can. When he meets John Watson he believes he may have found the only person who could make him more human. But how can he know when John won't show his soulmates name to anyone, ever.

The world has a funny way of putting two people together. Well, it's even stranger when everyone is born with different hints to finding their soulmate and staying with them. John has a very difficult time finding his soulmate, as he wasn't given much of anything to help in his later, trying times looking for who he was meant for. However, the boy had a pretty good idea as to what he was meant for. John played the clarinet. He often played by himself, different tunes and learned new songs on his own time. This was why John's music teacher took the initiative to sign John up as a possible clarinet player for the Central London jazz band for a concert. Sherlock, however, doesn't really seem to mind that he's markless. That was, until he met John. First, it was in a music store, finding an instrument to keep him out of trouble. Then, at John's school, where Sherlock had enrolled into the regional jazz band. Sherlock was, at first, unbeknownst to John's musical skill until he was watching the young man play with some of the greatest in the Central London jazz band. Sherlock had to know more about John. The setting takes place when John is 13 and Sherlock is technically 12, but they grow up apart and reunite when they're 16 and 15 respectively.
