When Sherlock lands himself in hospital, Mycroft is given no choice but to tell John about Sherlock's past. What he finds out propels him to open up to his flat mate about his true feelings, in hope that Sherlock will feel the same way and at the same time stay out of harm's way rather than risk his life. ❗️trigger warning❗️

"Sheryl, Jean, you girls are going to be late for school; hurry up you only have about an hour to get ready."
