The series follows the reign of Sultan Süleyman (r. 1520-1566), known in the West as Suleiman the Magnificent. At age 26 Suleiman takes the throne. During his reign he gathers many sons and one daughter. Only one son may take the throne (not necessarily the eldest). During his early reign a concubine called Alexandra (Hurrem) catches his eye and sets his works on fire. Historically Hurrem is one of the most powerful and influential women of the Ottoman dynasty. It will have you captivated, researching history, in awe of the Ottoman Empire, impressed, angry and most of all sleepless nights from watching the show). This is my interpretation. Please comment if I say anything wrong. I will try my best to keep personal opinions of characters at bey. But as you will read on it is difficult not to take sides. I have started the synopsis whilst on episode 115. I will log back and rewatch the show and add the synopsis for the previous episodes Warning the synopsis will hold spoilers. Her sister is dead..... But she had a daughter. Time for the ottomans to visit Bosnia again. Does the Valide sultana wish to reconnect with her lost niece or is there more to the story ? What is Suleiman planning ? original character. the story may contain some Bosnian or / and Arabic words but there's a dictionary & proper translations given. this story takes place a bit after Sultan Suleiman becomes the ruler. the story may but also may not follow the original part of the series. primary language of story : english.

Sultan Orhan who got on the throne at the age of 17, has a lot to contend with. His mother, Ayşe Neslişah, has a really bad disease from whom she has been suffering for years. the Sultan loves a lot his mother and he will fulfill every wish of hers. Her last wish is to see her son happily in love and with descendants to continue the dynasty. Dozens of girls get presented to the Sultan, but he only likes one named Sofia, however she has a problem.
