What if things stood still, froze in time while their voices lingered in the air, torturing you regardless of who they were? What if things just didn't add up? What if it was just the beginning, the start of something greatly horrifying that it would haunt you forever?

Lydia couldn't be happier, the man she loves and has been dating for several months had proposed to her. Then she got the shock of her life when she went home for a family dinner. Family dinners are something she would really rather not do, but she feels obligated. Her little sister had an announcement, she was engaged and her fiancé was running late but would be there shortly. When he was brought into the living room it was none other than her loving fiancé. Her sister had started dating him about the same time. That is the last straw for Lydia and several secrets that had been hidden come to light, ones that left her family reeling just as Lydia had been.

A YA story I'm working on . . . which, yes, is taking time away from Revenant and Tucat 4, I know. But still . . . any writing you can manage is good writing, and this just seemed to mean something important to me. Feedback is appreciated. Don't worry, I'm not in the habit of dropping projects, and I will finish Revenant (as well as start the second novel featuring Joe) and get about it with Tucat 4, which I have literally (figuratively) been *dying* to write, now that the outline is finished. But, you have to follow your muse. And mine brought me to this moment, for some odd reason.
