Tohru finds a photo of a young woman in Shigure's office. Clearly she's very important because even Yuki and Kyo stop fighting when they see her. Tohru wishes to find out more. And so Shigure tells her the story of the girl he fell in love with. Disclaimer: I do not own Fruits Basket, the storyline of Fruits Basket nor the characters and artwork. Akari Sohma is the younger fraternal twin sister of the current Head of the Sohma family and the God of the zodiac spirits, Akito Sohma. Unlike her twin, Akari is neither the God of the zodiac because she isn't the 'chosen one' nor has any zodiac spirit inside her like the cursed Sohma members.
