The short, simple, and straightforward love story of Hinata Hyuuga and Shikamaru Nara.

The Uchiha massacre never occurred, the Kyuubi was never unleashed, and the Fourth Hokage still wears the hat. Konoha should be at peace. As the case deepens, the illusion of harmony within Konoha begins to crack. Though the Uchiha remain intact in this world, no one can avoid the darkness people hold within themselves or the wounds carried from generations before them. Konoha is a young village built by idealists who underestimated what it meant for clans who had been at war for generations to live together in peace. Faced with unsettling truths about the clan and village she has spent her life fighting for, Asami must decide what deserves her faith, and whether a better future is still worth working toward.
