Naruto is way different after waking up in the hospital, He is no longer concerned with Sasuke's well being nor is he concerned with Sakura, he's quieter and only really talks to Kakashi and Shikamaru. Shikamaru doesn't approve on how Naruto changed. Naruto changed after almost dying by Sasuke's hands and Sakura's Uselessness. He made it his mission to stick by Naruto and protect him.
