Sanemi and Genya have a very twisted relationship Genya does whatever he can to climb up the ranks of the demon Slayer corps to get closer to his older brother. Sanemi says whatever mean things he can think of to break Genya's motivation, to no avail. By why can't he just talk to Genya? Why can't Genya be heard? Perhaps they just weren't meant to reconcile their relationship. Perhaps it was just inevitable fate that bad things happen. Genya and Sanemi have a very twisted relationship. Genya does whatever he can to get closer to the hashira rank and earn back the respect of his older brother, and apologize. Sanemi just wants genya to leave the corps. He doesn't want his last family member putting his life in danger. just to what? Get stronger? All the harsh words Sanemi Speaks towards genya is just to discourage him to leave. Completely regardless of either of their mental health's. But what can Carelessness lead to? Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, had been transformed into a demon by Muzan. But like Nezuko, Sanemi managed to surpress his temptations and now fights alongside the Demon Slayer Corps. Genya, who now found himself in a similar situation as Tanjiro, found one bigger downside to this situation. He was getting double the missions. Sanemi, though considered a former Hashira, was allowed to be included in the Hashira requests since his strength and skill hadn't diminished at all, thus Genya finds himself taking on the force of his own missions, combined with his brother's, all while trying to survive and wait for a cure to arrive. Meanwhile Sanemi faced some internal problems of his own, and getting thrown between Genya and the other Hashira, just to help shorten his brother's workload, didn't help.
