Living in modern day Britain , the last thing Emma Glass expected was to become so consumed with dreams that it became close to an obsession, and not only that a dangerous one as it turns out . Having constant dreams (sleeping and awake) and flashes of an ancient place she'd never seen before was starting to worry Emma, so when the flashes became dangerous (appearing when she was crossing the road , cooking , almost anytime ) she went to go see a doctor about them .
