14 year old Haruto Daiki has grown up hearing of the beautiful Amaterasu, the mighty Susano-o and of all the nightmare-ish demons that live in the shadows. But one day his whole world is flipped upside down when he gets stuck in the Spirit World. Amaterasu herself tells him of an impending disaster that could decide the fate of the world. To halt the disaster Amaterasu instructs him and his new found friends on a scavenger hunt across Japan to track down the Three Royal Regalia of Japan. But things start getting heated when not only the government starts to track them down but also demons who seem to be attempting to find the three treasures before them. Kagutsuchi, the God of Fire, is plotting his revival from his fiery grave. So Haruto must race against the clock as the Fall Equinox approaches and the spirit world begins to blend with the real world.

A pitch for a story I've been thinking of for a while. Just like some thoughts on it. Just to clarify this is not the beginning of the story, this would take place towards the end of the first part of the story. This is just more exciting.

Hikaru is a young boy eagerly waiting for school to end despite being a first year and is dissatisfied with the direction that life is taking him. Fresh off of asking out his sole love interest, the boy stumbles upon a strange shrine and ends up praying to an obscure god. Little did the kid know, that his prayer would be answered by a god that is not only thrilled to have somebody praying to him, but also looking to make a name for himself among the many other deities of the Shinto religion. However, the wish yields an unforeseen and unintended consequence that backfired in a way that Hikaru could've never possibly imagined. NOTE: This is my current NANOWRIMO challenge, so please forgive any errors with the writing (though please feel free to point them out! ^^)

Rarely anyone gets a second chance when their death is purely their fault. But here we are, watching upon our past lives and endless possibilities in a world so different but so familiar. Discovering powers likely to attract attention, and choosing the "wrong side" of war, we shall fight. Or is it really wrong to want the war to end forever? Is it really wrong to cling to the only possibility to go back even if all hope is lost? Let this world burn, I say. It deserves it.
