Shiori Novella, Archiver of Hololive Advent, visits a Novelite in the hospital, and, takes it upon herself to cheer them up. This is a pair of stories, with different endings. In "Humanity", it diverges at "Two days later"; in "Novelite", it diverges at "As the door closes". This was done as part of creating a Christmas storybook for our favorite Archiver, Shiori Novella. [Posted to AO3 under elysianblu.] In which, though trios are often regarded as inherently complex - be it in friendships or romantic relations - Shiori, Elizabeth, and Nerissa would vehemently refute that notion. An ode to what was, an ode to what is, and an ode to what will be: A bouquet of flowers . . . jewelry with pendants of the sun, the earth, and the moon, each gleaming individually . . . distinctive footfalls . . . the faint undertone of humming . . . and the two culprits of said humming, both kneeling before the fireplace with long-handled matches in hand. Eyes saying 'fire in my heart, fire in my brittle bones; fire to persist but not to ever ravage; fire as a synonym for love and loyalty' . . . and the sound of Nerissa chuckling before speaking, "Welcome home, Moony."

Somehow someway, the archiver has acquired forbidden knowledge yet again. But this time, Justice won't be so forgiving. Even if they have to lie to them with false promises of exclusive plushies to bait them, even if they have to fight against their senpais on one-on-one battles, they'll make sure that justice is preserved (and that they don't get fired from their original jobs). I do not own any character depicted nor referenced in this fanfiction, and neither do I own the two logos in the cover. All credits go to Hololive and all of their talents and artists.

Shiori is on the hunt for a new Novelite helper, and brings you to her. What will happen next? How will you change? What experiences will you have? This is a story where each chapter is a new prompt response, starting from the very first. I tried to format it like snippets of memory. Most of the chapters are pretty short, just as a heads up.
