Does she truly belong amongst the elves? Or the hobbits? And how about the feelings she develops for Legolas Greenleaf, the handsome elf prince? Faramir Took dreams of adventures and quests, and longs to be part of the great tales and songs like his father is. When Pippin tells him a new story about the mysterious Ent-Wives, Faramir decides it would be a good adventure to go looking for one, and drags his friend Gorbadoc Brandybuck along with him. The only problem is, their quest leads them deep into the Old Forest, a place all hobbits fear to speak of. Their adventure will test the limits of their friendship and their courage as they fight to find their way home.

A hobbit, a dwarf, and an elf become a traveling company. Experiencing love and grief during their quest to the Lonely Mountain, they form a friendship that will never break. -This is fanfic I have been planning on for a long time, and only now have I finally found a good way to write it. Why did Gandalf choose, of all the hobbits, Bilbo Baggins? Tolkien doesn't say specifically, but it's clearly because he has the blood of the Old Took in him. And that suggests he knew the Old Took, probably very well. In my mind, the Old Took was Gandalf's original burglar, and I like to think that he has such affection for Bilbo and, later, Frodo because he sees his old friend in them. So this is a tale of the Old Took, and features a meeting between a wizard already old and a hobbit still young. Of course, Bilbo also has Belladonna's queerness in him, which amplifies his Tookishness, but how that queerness came to be may be the subject of the next story.
