Keith loved Shiro. Just think about how he would have felt when the words "Kerberos mission failed, ship crashed, all members presumed dead" flashed along the bottom of every television program? While you're thinking about that, think of the fallout from that. the entire year after Keith was so distraught that he dropped out of the academy and went on a self destructive streak, only keeping himself alive by following primal instincts, surviving on three hour sleep cycles, skipping meals, and finding escapes to the pain! Then Imagine when that ship crashed on earth. How much hope it would have inspired in Keith. What Lance would have thought, seeing Keith and Shiro together, after nearly a year of what he didn't know was meaningless sex. That's the emotional rollercoaster we're about to take a trip down.

When Keith finds a hint of the damage that had been inflicted during Shiro's time as a prisoner, he does his best to help Shiro begin to heal. Keith stood on his toes and pressed gentle lips to Shiro's mouth. They hadn't discussed yet that what they were doing could be more than just kissing; that it might actually be real feelings that they hadn't the stomach to address. This is a sheith fix-it fic, because the epilogue of season 8 was so terrible, and I don't accept it. Summary: Three years after Shiro got married and Keith joined the Blade of marmora in their mission to give aid to those in need, Keith suddenly comes back to meet with Shiro. Things have been bad between Shiro and his husband for a while and maybe this time things can finally be resolved between them, now that Keith is back in his orbit.

Shiro was, undeniably, a fantastic suitor. Keith is intimidating.
