After the soul crushing, heart breaking end of The Rise Of Skywalker I began to write this for catharsis. Ben and Rey will get a happy ending. A post TROS fix it fic

"Why didn't you come home?" The question was simple. The answer was not. A sort of modern Star Wars AU where everything is messed up, and some of it gets put back together.

Following the life of an oc of mine, who will be introduced in the first part, which is not an actual chapter. Starting from just before Phantom Menace and more or less ending around or after Rise of Skywalker. Not sure yet. It might be two books. Each chapter will have 1,000-2,000 words. Some may have more, but very few will have less. It won't follow the Star Wars story fully. But the timeline is more or less the same.

In which Anakin Skywalker meets the doppelganger of his beloved wife, in his granddaughter from his son.

A different ending from ᴀᴡᴀᴋᴇ, a new fresh start with another person. How could he actually love after being betrayed by who he thought was the love of his life? His future wife? Mother of her children? Is there a chance for his new heart to give another chance, just to maybe be crushed again? Is she going to be able to love him too? A toxic relationship that made her think every man is the same. It seems like an impossible love even when every star is aligned for them to be together.

Right after Shmi sends Anakin to the Jedi, she's suddenly transported over thirty years into the future, onto the bridge of the Executor when Vader is searching for Luke. Vader isn't terribly keen on his mother knowing who he's become, but Shmi figures out fast he's a slave, and she's going to do whatever she can to help him, whether he's her long-lost son or not.

All Force sensitives are born with wings, and they grow in primaries for anyone they closely bond with. The Jedi see it as a sign of attachment, something Anakin struggles to deal with after coming to the Temple. It's even harder to fit in as a Jedi when his wings are a visible reminder to everyone of what a failure he is to the Jedi way.
