Walking away can be the hardest thing, but sometimes it turns out to be the most incredible and beautiful journey. Sometimes people don't run away out of choice, they have to leave, ending one chapter in their lives and turning the page to a whole new one. I know it sounds cliched and all but that turn of a page is the best thing that's happened to me and I'll tell you what - when I began this new chapter and you barged your way in? I could tell that story was either going to end spectacularly or go down in flames. All credit to Calvin Eason for the cover.

"The train waves at us with its headlights. We move forward with the crowd, like a toddler being pulled along with a wave. The heat of 50 people envelope around me. My palm gets sweaty. I clutch my mum’s hand tighter. The crowd shoves and pushes. My fingers start to slip off and I loose grip of mum’s hand. I start to panic. I look around for her but the crowd pushes me aboard. The doors give a quick warning beep, and slide shut. Either trapping me in or trapping mum out." When Sam and Gabrielle loose their mum at a crowded train station, they try everything to find her again. But is "everything" enough?

The dare was simple: Go inside unsuspiciously. Grab an alcohol. Then walk out of the store without paying for it. Your friends have done it before, it should be easy for you. But because it's you, of course things didn't go that smoothly. And of fucking course there's a cop around. Dressed in civilian clothes no less. Sneaky. Now your botched attempt of shoplifting earned you a one-way ticket to the police station. Surely it can be talked out civily. Right? Turned out that Detective Zimmerman would give you a little more than a slap in the wrists. or 'i'm gonna sue you big time for emotional duress, you better lawyer up' Reader and 'let's do it baby i know the law' Flip Zimmerman
