These dates are when the child is destined to die and when they do, another soul can be born into the Trigg Society, leaving the population at the same number. They get told blood tests determine your death date but when Mae continues to live over her expiration date, she finds the answers to her questions. Starting with... it was one big lie. The secrets of the government gets unleashed. Everything is revealed. INSPIRED BY 'The Criminal Artist' - My profile. Aria gains an obsession over her friend, Hazel. She had labeled herself as 'The Criminal Artist' as she had committed crimes and used her victims blood as her new choice of ink. But her stalking begins after writing down a series of paragraphs about how she truly thought about each kill she made, realizing that Hazel has come up more than once. She thought about how their friendship was truly something that gave her life. And with the way Aria thinks, she wanted that friendship to last. Like a painting would.
