Grace is no ordinary girl, being related to Chicago Bears Defensive Lineman, Alex Rivera. While Grace had been competitive in the hunter jumper ring since she was 7 years old, her first love had been football, often playing with her brother. As one of the best high school quarterbacks in Colorado, she led her team to victory multiple times, even winning state. Despite her legendary high school career, no colleges offered her, believing she didn't have what it took to succeed at the college level. There's no tuition- just a signed contract demanding appearance in the Games. Kyle grew up mucking out stalls in exchange for riding lessons. coming out and turning the corner, a huge blob almost knocks the wind out of me. shit, that was unexpected. 'oh my gosh! i'm so sorry, are you okay?' a soft accented voice asks me. i'm startled by the collision, so it takes me a few moments to recenter myself. i look down with my hand pinching the bridge of my nose. the first thing i notice is this person's giant doc martins. he's standing pretty close to me, but i don't blame him since we, just like, collided. i look up at the voice. no, that's his shirt. i look even more up. okay, there we go. that's his face. he's hella tall. i freeze a tiny bit at the sight of him. oh shit, he's cute.

"Steady," I said as I gave a half halt with my outside rein to get Nova to listen to me. My young anglo arabian gelding slowed his stride and we built up impulsion before sailing cleanly over the small eighty centimere red and white vertical. "Well done," I heard a voice say from the outside of the indoor arena. "That was nice and neat." I used my seat and brought Nova into a relaxed trot as I looked over to see mum standing at the gate watching. "He's really starting to come along nicely now," mum said referring to Nova. I leant forwards and gave the black gelding a pat on his neck before slowing him to a walk. "Gosh, he's brilliant," I said with a smile on my face. "He's got so much potential and willingness."
