We were just friends.
At least, that's what I thought.
Late-night chats, inside jokes, classmates teasing us like we were a couple, it never meant more than friendship to me. She was the one I trusted with secrets, even the ones about the girl I actually liked.
But one prank... one stupid joke about love... flipped everything upside down.
She started feeling something real.
I didn't.
Now she's confessed, and I'm stuck between guilt, family pressure, and the fear of hurting her more than I already have. Staying feels wrong. Leaving feels worse.
How do you save a friendship when love ruins it?
