Issei was an average perverted boy who was dragged into the supernatural world after being killed on his first date by the fallen angel Raynare. After his revival, he discovered that he was the host of the Heavenly Dragon Ddraig, wielder of the Boosted Gear - a mid-tier Longinus-class Sacred Gear capable of endlessly increasing power. He became Rias Gremory's sole Pawn and fought countless battles for her peerage. Time and time again, Issei risked his life, pushing past his limits just to protect everyone. Enemies were defeated and impossible fights were won through his effort, yet he was never truly congratulated nor appreciated for what he had done. Do you know why? Because of his younger twins, Kai and Keiko. Since childhood, they made it their mission to ensure Issei would remain alone and worthless. Behind fake concern, they spread lies and framed him for terrible crimes. He was branded a creep who stole women's clothes, a shameless pervert seeking attention, and someone who took credit for others' achievements. Every good thing he did was twisted into something disgusting, slowly destroying how others saw him. The love Issei once held for those around him gradually turned into bitterness buried deep inside. During the attack in the Underworld, Issei defeated Shalba once again after a brutal fight. Exhausted and barely standing, he was suddenly pierced by a blade coated in Samael's blood. The poison spread instantly, leaving him helpless as he collapsed. As he lay dying, Kai placed the severed finger of an ancient sorcerer into Issei's hand, making it appear stolen before fleeing with Keiko to report him. Confused and fading, Issei could do nothing. Seeing a final chance, Ddraig took control of Issei's arm and forced the cursed finger into his mouth, making him swallow it to save his life. Dark energy surged... and everything went silent. When the eyes opened again, Issei Hyoudou was no longer there. The one who awakened was the King of Curses.

A short tale of two siblings who believed they'd never see each other again, until a reunion many years overdue. Unfortunately, they didn't have the fortune to meet again in the best of circumstances... This is a short but sweet story written in ~6 weeks set in the fictional Japanese coastal city of Shiojima/塩島 with the prompt of "Pocketships". These are small boats which regular people are able to build, which were popularised in lockdown, some having even properly set out to sea in them. If you don't catch on while reading, the perspective switches between the two siblings every chapter. It's not yet entirely finished, so the abrupt ending will be changed in the future. This is the first story I've ever properly written, I apologise for any mistakes.

The terrifying black dragons of the jungle lands have inspired fear for millennia, and for good reason. Their entire body is deadly and their poisons and toxins are an anathema to almost all other life and when combined with their instinctive cruelty is very often deadly. But if given a reason, and an opportunity, anyone can change for the better. This is another trio of stories, similar to my previous collection, Hale's Graces, and featuring, in the first story at least, some of the same characters, as well as a number of characters, mostly dragons, featured in other, earlier stories. The first story in this collection leads on from the story narrated by Tiny in Hale's Graces. Each of these stories is named for and narrated by a different person, and is split into chapters, and the narrator is named in the chapter heading. As well as having a passing familiarity with the Hale's Graces collection, readers might also want to familiarise themselves with my earlier stories about dragons, especially but not limited to Dragon Isle. This is another story that features Lylnetrath and the Isle of Young dragons. The battle scene described in Nerecema Chapter 3 has always had a 'soundtrack' in the author's imagination - Mars from the Planet Suite by Holst. I thoroughly recommend listening to this piece of music as you read. Content includes a hospital setting treating injuries and poisoning, kidney surgery, a deadly battle and fantasy-fiction parallels to racism. Note that the cover image does not belong to me.

His creative gene is struck however when he discovers the true beauty of nature. (Inspired by some of Ralph Waldo Emerson's work) The Glenwood Shrine is a short story that portrays a desperate man in need of inspiration, and how powerful nature can be.

"Once a being has been named, it has power. Be sure to take care of yours. I'd know how important it is, because I lost mine." Joshua is always fretting over the "what ifs" in life, but never trusts his gut feeling because it's always wrong... at least until one summer afternoon when he, his friend Markl and cousin have nothing to do and dare each other to go touch the door of the house on the end of the street. The house everyone hated. For the first time, Joshua and Markl are at a loss to do when the strange little girl Alice forces them into playing a very dangerous game if they want Sharon back. But they're not the only victims. There are others forced into games, some knowing they're playing and others not, but they all have their own goals. The only question is if Alice is prepared to give them a winning chance.

This poem explores the themes of unrequited love and enduring admiration. It portrays a speaker who has silently loved another for seventeen years, observing their life from a distance. The speaker grapples with the pain of unfulfilled desire, the weight of unspoken feelings, and the struggle to find peace. The poem is filled with imagery of the moon, symbolizing the elusive nature of the beloved, and the passage of time.
