Daisy Williams has never had her "firsts".
Not her first kiss, not her first date, not even a real male friend. Most of the time she tells herself it does not matter, that she is just moving at her own pace. But some days, it feels more like she is watching life happen for everyone else while she stands still.
So she writes things down. Not because she thinks it will change anything, but because it makes it easier to admit what she is missing. A list of small of ordinary experiences she has somehow never had that she wants to accomplish before graduation, kept private in a notebook she does not expect anyone to ever read.
Then Connor Reed finds it.
He is not someone she would normally end up talking to, like ever. He's popular in a way that makes him feel out of reach, always surrounded by people, always moving through life like it is simple. Daisy assumes that will be the end of it when he hands the notebook back after class.
Its not.
Instead, he starts showing up in her life in a way she does not quite know how to deal with. Not loud and overwhelming like she would expect him to be, just consistent. Like he has decided helping her through her list as her wingman is the most normal thing in the world.
What follows is something Daisy does not have a name for at first. Awkward conversations, an unexpected friendship, and small moments that feel far more significant than they should. And slowly, without her really noticing when it happens, she starts to question whether she has been looking at her life all wrong.
